# Day 1
This excursion starts from your accommodation in Merzouga. This trip will give you the opportunity to explore the desert fascinating sights , volcanic rocks and the way of life there. In addition, one of the stops also will be the cave that exists along the path taken by the Dakar rally in Paris and will see how to extract the fossils from the bottom of the earth. Use of quads is possible. Then we will pass through small towns. After that, we discover the lifestyle of a nomadic family, drinking mint tea in their store. Later, we move to the Algerian border. We walk through the dunes and practice sandboarding.
Then we will go to Elkhamlia to listen to the music of Gnaoua, then we will go to an old car museum. If you are lucky, we visit DayetSerji Lake.
After a walk in the oasis, we will have lunch in a traditional restaurant in Rissani. We will have time to rest; Then we will see several places in this city, the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty which currently governs Morocco. Among the historical monuments which are there: "Sijilmassa" a big center of the trade of the desert, the Kasbas which are more numerous than 350, and the souk.
In the afternoon, we will return to the hotel or camp.
