# Day 1
Our team will come to pick you up in your hotel at 08.00am to head towards Chefchaouen or Chauen. The blue pearl is located in the Rif Mountains near Tangier, once you get there you will easily recognize the city by its washed blue buildings
You'll get a 30-minute guided tour, then explore some free time to explore the quaint streets of this small town in the medina, including its local shops and cafes, the main square known as Plaza Uta el- Hammam, the Kasbah museum of the beginning of the 18th century, the Great Mosque and perhaps the Ras Elma river which flows through the old city. You can also visit the ethnographic museum which contains musical instruments, ancient weapons and photographs of the old town.
For lunch (own expense), you can choose one on the square which has a magnificent terrace to enjoy a panoramic view of Chefchaouen.
At the end of this chefchaoun day trip, you will head back to Fez where we will drop you off at your hotel/ riad in Fez at around 8 p.m.
